Tonight I had the honor of reviewing investment projects by students of a Commercial Real Estate Class in Sunnyvale. Thanks to their instructor, Rich Arzaga for the invitation to do so. Thank you also to my other colleagues who also reviewed the projects.

The students learned the basic skill sets of organizing data, calculating value and forecasting growth. It became readily apparent that an understanding of the mechanics of evaluation will lead to a more educated and informative discussion when these student/investors analyze real investment opportunities.  I commend each of the students for learning to make themselves educated investors.
